Movie Night! - Holy Water!

The village of Kilcoulin's Leap was once a thriving spa town, home to a famous Holy Well, but now offers little employment for its people, and its decline seems inevitable. When local Postie Podger Byrnes comes up with a plan to hijack a consignment of Viagra and sell it on the open market in Amsterdam, his friends are desperate enough to try it. Not counting on the muscular response of Viagra's makers, the boys panic and hide the lorry-load of Viagra down the town's Holy Well.

Euchre in the Pub

Euchre in the Pub! You must sign up!

6:30 p.m. - $15.00 per player

Stop in the Pub to sign up or email barmanager@theshamrockclubofcolumbus.com. If you sign-up and cannot make it, please contact us as soon as possible so we can recruit someone in your place.

Players must sign up prior to ensure we have the right number of players. Progressive euchre will have eight players at two tables, each player will play eight hands with a different partner every time, keeping track of their score with each player. The individuals with the highest totals after playing with everyone at the two tables will receive $50 (1st), $30 (2nd) and $20 (3rd) prizes. The last loner of the night will hold on to the Loner Cup ($20) that is continually passed around as loners are achieved. Ties will be split accordingly. Plan to play until you have played eight hands with seven co-players, approximately 2.5-3 hours.

We hope to have as many games of eight people as possible. In the event we’re short four people, we may have one group play with twelve people - or one group play with four people. The game use the $15 from each player and awards will be divided appropriately before the game begins. For twelve players: 1st ($60); 2nd ($45); 3rd ($30); 4th ($20); 5th ($10) and Last Loner $15.00. For four players: 1st ($25); 2nd ($15); 3rd ($10); Last loner ($10). Again, signing up is critical; and, if it’s necessary to cancel, you must notify the bar so we have time to recruit additional players.
